We saw Darrell Hammond perform at Comedy Works South. Last night my husband Ben and I took our friends Heather and Justin out to celebrate Justin’s birthday. Justin never wants to celebrate his birthday. Since I find that completely unacceptable, we surprised him with a night out!
Laugh a Little or a Lot!
I love the old Saturday Night Live comedians from when I was growing up. Last month at Comedy Works South, Ben and I saw Jon Lovitz who is one of our favorite comedians. He was hilarious! My cheeks hurt from smiling and laughing so hard. The next day, I felt like I had done an abs workout!
Darrell Hammond didn’t disappoint. He was funny last night, too. I wanted to see him do his famous President Bill Clinton impression, which he did! He also did his Sean Connery and Alex Trebek bit from Saturday Night Live. Do you remember this skit? Total classic!
Food at Comedy Works South
The food menu at the Landmark Comedy Works South is limited to small plates. You can get fries, nachos with cheese, chicken fingers and mozzarella sticks. Upstairs from Comedy Works South is Lucy’s, a restaurant with a full menu. Ben and I are going back in a couple of weeks to see Kevin Nealon perform. I am thinking that I will have to make dinner reservations for us at Lucy’s upstairs. I will keep you posted on if their food is any good or not!
Comedy Works in Denver
There is another Comedy Works in Denver in Larimer Square. I have been to it a few times over the years, too. As I have gotten older, I like the convenience of driving to Greenwood Village. It’s closer to my home. Also, I don’t like to deal with downtown Denver traffic and paying for parking.
